Soto Family Prayer Requests November 2017

Esther (our 20 month old baby):

- Esther has had a skin condition/rash since she was 9 months old.  A pediatric Dermatologist here in Panama has diagnosed her with Keratosis Pilaris and excema. Please help us pray the Lord will give her a special touch, and that her skin would clear up.
- For God to heal her of laryngomalacia 100%.
- For God’s protection over her as she is a very busy toddler these days.

Esteban (our 4 1/2 year old son):

- Esteban will begin attending kindergarten in March.  
- That God will always protect him in every way.  Here in Panama, there is a constant battle with different viruses.

Elianny (who just turned 12 on November 10th):

- For God’s protection over her heart and mind as she is becoming a young lady, always making God-pleasing decisions as she grows as a tween.
- Elianny’s school

Tammy and Eliezel:

- To always keep a family rhythm and unity as we are very busy with the kids and ministry. 
- For Eliezel to find some time to continue his Seminary classes online. 
- For Tammy to find time to study Spanish with her computer programs at home. 
- That God will keep us healthy, helping us to always show patience and love to our kids at home, and that we will always preach with our example to them.  

Family: 

- For our family to continue to get involved in the local churches here in Panama. We especially want to start and lead a children’s ministry in one of the churches in need.

  Hola!   We hope this letter finds you all well! Here is our latest Soto Family Update, to let you know some of what we have been up to here!  We sure have been keeping busy here with ministry, work, and school!  The kids recently finished their 2nd trimester of their school year.  Wow, time sure does fly!  I seriously think every day flies by faster than the days before.  🤦🏽‍♀️ The kids seem to be growing up so fast!  😭   Slow down time!! After over 2 years, we were finally able to safely receive 3 Work & Witness teams since the pandemic began.  It has been so nice being able to serve alongside teams again!    In June we thoroughly enjoyed our time with our Flint Central team.  This team focused on Youth Outreach and it was wonderful to see our dear neighbor youth/friends and others  interact with them through different  activities, like basketball, soccer, and working together at the Stoker Family Care project site in Tocumen.  They were without a doubt a blessing to

Hola from the warm and rainy Panama!     So here’s our most recent Soto Family update!  Our Ministry Some of you out there may wonder, “What is it exactly that the Soto’s do there in Panama?”  Well, let us explain a little about our ministry!  We are missionaries for the Church of the Nazarene.  Years back, our family was called to serve the churches and people of Panama through missions via a ministry called “Work & Witness.”  W&W is a ministry opportunity for teams of around 20 members (more or less) from around the world to go and serve in whichever country God leads them to.  We are the coordinators for W&W Panama.  We coordinate with the teams and local churches to meet needs  around the communities in Panama.  Much of our work involves getting to know the local people and learning about their true needs.  There are many details and much work to take care of from way before the teams arrive, until way after they leave.   Once here, we host the teams

Truth is...

Truth is…. Truth is….  I’ve been meaning to write this update for months now.  Eli and I desire to do this way more often than we have, to keep our friends and family up to date on what’s going on with us and our ministry here in Panamá.  From time to time we’re able to give updates via Facebook, email, Skype, and personal phone calls, but we desire to send out more formal updates. So here it goes…. WARNING:  This is long! Reality is, we have three children ages 11, 4, and 1 year.  Thing is, living abroad, we have no family living close.  Eli and/or I are with our babies 24/7, which we LOVE don’t get us wrong.  But fact is at the stages each of them are in, well, each stage comes with a different set of needs.  And these needs, along with the housework, the ministry, and just everyday life keeps us going literally from sun up to way past sun down.  I’m so thankful for my handsome husband who without fail, does his part and more to help us keep things going.  He’s one in
