Soto Family October 2020 Update.

Hola!  We hope this update finds you and yours well!  We are good here, although it sure has been a different and challenging year, as we know it has been for everyone around the world.  We returned back to Panama mid February from our Deputation Tour in the U.S.  We had a wonderful and blessed time.  God was faithful to protect us in every way,  and it was great to see family and friends. After returning to Panama, we received our Fairview Village Church W&W team at the end of February and later received our Flint Medical team in early March.  Elianny & Esteban also began their new school year during that time.  But then everything changed….. After our first Covid-19 case was confirmed here in Panama, everything began to shut down, including schools, just one week after they had begun the new school year.  Soon after, Panama went into a 24 hour quarantine and adults were only allotted 2 hour time slots a few times a week for gro...

La Verdad...

Muchas veces pensamos que estamos sufriendo mucho y que tenemos muchas cosas en la vida que nos estan haciendo dano y nos damos lastima de nosotros mismos. Pero la verdad es que ningun sufrimiento que tengamos en esta tierra por cause de obedecer a Dios se comparara con lo que Jesus sufrio en la tierra para darnos vida. Somos debiles, humanos quienes nos deleitamos en las cosas carnales, y cuando intentamos hacer la voluntad de Dios para nuestras vidas, siempre viene acompanado con sufrimiento y sacrificio. Pues Dios nos ayuda a entender por medio de estos que cuando no tenemos mas fuerzas humanas, entonces el comienza a obrar en nuestras vidas muchos milagros. Como el hermano Yun dijo, al ver los milagros de Dios en su vida y sufrir mucho en La China por predicar el evangelio: "No estamos derrotados cuando llegamos al final de nuestros propios recursos, sino que empieza el acometimiento de los recursos inmensurables de Dios. Truth is...

Truth is…. Truth is….  I’ve been meaning to write this update for months now.  Eli and I desire to do this way more often than we have, to keep our friends and family up to date on what’s going on with us and our ministry here in Panamá.  From time to time we’re able to give updates via Facebook, email, Skype, and personal phone calls, but we desire to send out more formal updates. So here it goes…. WARNING:  This is long! Reality is, we have three children ages 11, 4, and 1 year.  Thing is, living abroad, we have no family living close.  Eli and/or I are with our babies 24/7, which we LOVE don’t get us wrong.  But fact is at the stages each of them are in, well, each stage comes with a different set of needs.  And these needs, along with the housework, the ministry, and just everyday life keeps us going literally from sun up to way past sun down.  I’m so thankful for my handsome husband who without fail, does his part and mor...
